Chests the the storage structures of MoteMancer. Items can be inserted into them or taken out.
Aside from the Simple Chest , MoteMancer's Chests are either Earth -based or Shadow -based and there are certain properties to each.
Earth -based Chests have more storage slots than a Simple Chest . They are either elongated or concentrated (usually triangular) in shape. The hybrid- Earth -based Chests tend to have more of a concentrated shape than an elongated one.
One aspect of Earth -based Chests that isn't currently in the game but will appear in a future update will be the ability to set slots to hold specific items, effectively creating a filter system.

Shadow -based Chests, typically referred to by the community as Void Chests, start off small in storage capacity but eventually grow to the capacity of a Simple Chest . While this sounds weaker at first, Shadow -based Chests have a special property to them. All Shadow -based Chests of the same type will have their storage linked to one another. This means that a Void Chest placed down in one location will have the same linked storage contents as another Void Chest placed elsewhere. When combined with grippers to take in or out of the Void Chests, a long distance logistics system is created.
Void Chests do not share its contents with the Void Chest: Pyre and Void Chest: Squall . Each of those Chests have their own shared contents. This means there are three effective long distance logistics systems utilized with these three types of Void Chests.
Shadow Chests include:
The Planar Reliquary is a special type of Chest in that it isn't crafted, but instead, acquired through Entropic Research . Once researched, a special part of the UI appears. When placed, the Planar Reliquary can receive up to a single stack of an item and this item becomes accessible to the player anywhere from the plane through the special UI found at the top of the screen. Ideally, you would place items and Structures you use often, such as Saltways or Mana Roots .
Up to 11 Planar Reliquaries can be researched and be available at a time. And each Plane has its own iteration of every Planar Reliquary that you have unlocked, allowing for a different set of items to be constantly available to you at any time.
