Following a link to a non-existent user subpage such as User:Mathglot/Sandbox gives the right top-of-page boilerplate message, apparently based on MediaWiki:Newarticletext , with some modifications to add strings like, "Before starting this page, please see m:Sub pages" absent from the basic message. So far, so good.
However, when a link is generated by a Special, such as (for me), Special:MyPage/Sandbox [blue always] to the same non-existent user subpage, clicking it should result in the same top-of-page boilerplate, but it does not. Instead, I see this: [but see note]

I don't believe Simple allows usernames with a slash character as part of the name, so this message is misleading at the very least. It apparently derives from MediaWiki:Noarticletext NS User , but either it is not adjusted properly to emit an appropriate message, or it is the wrong interface message entirely. Instead, I would emit something like this:
Wikipedia does not yet have a user subpage with this name.

I propose to rename all categories for months, e.g. Category:August 2026 events should be moved to Category:August 2026 . Then we can eliminate categories like Category:2026 events because everything that happens in a particular month or year is an event. A user recently made an edit on an article and stated on their summary that they are directly related to the subject , I immediately reverted it on the ground of it not been allowed on Wikipedia based on what I've read on one of Wikipedia policies(maybe on enwiki; i can't really recall) stating: "" If the subject is related to you, dont write about it" . I decided to leave a message on their talk page and tried citing the policy page here, but i couldn't find it (then i left a manual message). Hi, I consider myself to be a fairly advanced user on the English Wikipedia (or at least not a new user), but I'm fairly new to the Simple English Wikipedia. I've read most of the help page, but what are some things that I should know if I'm used to editing articles with some different styling conventions on other wikis? Since this is a highly visible template, I'm writing this for wider attention.
Local interlanguage links should not be used in the template ( en:WP:LOCALLINK ). Using Wikidata is the preferred method ( en:WP:ILLSIDEBAR ).
For example, Category:Pages needing to be simplified from August 2026 has an interlanguage link, but en:Category:Pages needing to be simplified from August 2026 doesn't exist. This issue can be solved by the removal of [[en:{{FULLPAGENAME}}]] .
I have contacted LateNightCoffee who made this change ( Special:Diff/10992989 ), but have not heard anything about this. Is it OK to revert ?

Hello, I’m Danny from Wikimedia Deutschland’s Wikidata For Wikimedia Projects team. We have been investigating and examining how Wikidata’s use in the Special:RecentChanges and Special:Watchlist pages can be made to be more useful, or less ‘noisy’ (fewer edits that have little value to the reader).
We are currently exploring to make a change in the volume and the type of Wikidata edits that appear in these pages, and we need your feedback to help us ensure this is a positive change for the Wikis and won’t disrupt your workflows. Language links are also known as sitelinks or interlanguage links and describe when a Wikidata item is connected to a Wiki, adding it to the language dropdown tool for other connected Wikis.
The request for feedback is whether you support the removal of these language link edits from the Recent Changes and Watchlist feed, or would you oppose such a change and if so, why? Please share you thoughts on the dedicated metawiki Talk page .

Hello, i just wanted to point out that there are articles at the Proposed good artticles page . These articles have been sitting there for months, and I would envourage poeple who have not done so (and who are interested) to leave their comments.
