Gingerbread & Lime White Chocolate Bar

Gingerbread & Lime White Chocolate Bar

Though some variation of gingerbread has been around since ancient times, Poland made it world famous with its spicy-sweet blend of ginger and cloves. This white chocolate-covered gingerbread bar with tangy lime filling is a zesty update to an old (very old) classic.

Ingredients: Filling [Sugar, Concentrated Apple Puree (Apple Peel, Sugar, Potassium Sorbate {Preservative}), Lime Juice Concentrate (Lime Juice Concentrate, Lime Puree, Fruit Concentrates And Purees Blend {Pineapple, Grapefruit, Lemon, Watermelon}, Sugar, Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid {Antioxidant}, Sodium Citrate {Acidity Regulator}, Maltodextrin, Guar Gum {Thickener}, Natural Flavor), Acidity Regulators (Citric Acid, Tartaric Acid), Preservatives (Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Metabisulfite), Pectin, Natural Flavor, Turmeric (Color)], White Chocolate [Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Whole Milk Powder, Whey, Soy Lecithin, Natural Flavor], Wheat Flour, Rye Flour, Sugar, Caramel Color, Leavening (Ammonium Carbonate), Spices, Salt, Citric Acid. CONTAINS: MILK, WHEAT, SOY. May contain traces of egg, peanut, sesame, tree nuts. Contains sulfites.

When I first saw it I thought it sounded terrible. I was sure I would hate it but I loved it. The combination shouldn’t work but it does.

Absolutely amazing. Lime was tangy, gingerbread perfect and the white chocolate added just the right amount of bite.

I thought this was wonderful!

Holy cow, this was good. Carefully broke off a piece every few hours just so it wouldn’t be gone too soon. Gingerbread nicely firm, lime adds zing.

Maybe I got a stale bar, but I found this terrible. The lime was too tart and the ginger bread was too crumbly. Not nice at all, in my opinion.
